PachycephalosauriaPrenocephale prenes Maryańska & Osmólska, 1974
A complete, high-domed pachycephalosaur from the Late Cretaceous Nemegt Basin of Mongolia.
PachycephalosauriaPachycephalosaurus wyomingensis Gilmore, 1931
A bipedal ornithischian known for its 25-centimeter thick solid bone skull dome surrounded by bony knobs and spikes.

Locomotion & Behavior | Small, agile pachycephalosaur possessing a fully domed skull bordered by small bony tubercles. In the Late Cretaceous Nemegt Formation of Mongolia, Prenocephale coexisted with ostrich-mimic ornithomimids like [Gallimimus](/dinosaurs/gallimimus) and giant theropods including [Tarbosaurus](/dinosaurs/tarbosaurus). | Bipedal herbivore or omnivore possessing an exceptionally thickened cranial dome, which biomechanical models indicate was used in ritualized flank-butting or head-pushing combat. In the Hell Creek ecosystem, it lived alongside horned dinosaurs like [Triceratops](/dinosaurs/triceratops) and armored [Ankylosaurus](/dinosaurs/ankylosaurus). |
Holotype & Fossils | Remarkably complete articulated holotype skull and postcranial elements in Warsaw. | Known almost exclusively from well-preserved, dense skulls and cranial domes that resist weathering. |
